Ryerson University, which is responsible for restoring and reinstalling it atop the Toronto Public Health building on the east side of Yonge-Dundas Square, has selected a Hamilton-based company that’ll start the work this spring and then move the sign to its new home during the summer.
The neon sign, with those two large records and spinning lights, has been mothballed since 2008 when it was taken down from the former site of the record store, which is now home to Ryerson’s Student Learning Centre.
