OTTAWA REACHES HEALTH DEALS WITH 3 MORE PROVINCES, INCLUDING ONTARIO

Ontario’s reached an agreement with the federal government that’ll increase funding for home care and mental health.
Talks last year between Ottawa and the provinces and territories failed to produce a new national health accord.
The federal government had offered $11-billion for mental health and home care over 10 years.
Ottawa reached a bilateral deal with New Brunswick soon far and agreements with other provinces and territories followed.

Health Minister Jane Philpott announced in the Commons Friday that Quebec and Alberta joined Ontario in signing agreements.
Manitoba is the lone holdout.
