At about 74.5 cents U-S, some body thinks the Canadian dollar is a steal.

Thieves have made off with a 100-kilogram gold Canadian coin from a museum in Berlin.  It’s known as the “Big Maple Leaf” and was one of five the Canadian mint manufactured 10 years ago to launch a line of one-ounce gold coins.

The “Big Maple Leaf” has a face value of $1 million, but by weight alone would be worth almost $ 4.5-million.  Police are still working out how the thieves made off with the coin which was protected by bulletproof glass.
