The photos are from the archives of the New York Times – and will be known as the Rudolph P. Bratty Family Collection – to be introduced to the public with the exhibition The Faraway Nearby, September 13th to December 10th.

Ryerson President Mohamed Lachemi says the Bratty gift  “further establishes Ryerson University and the RIC as a key international repository for significant archives of press photography.”
The Faraway Nearby examines a century of Canada’s history – and its representation in the leading American newspaper of record.
