ELECTRIC CITIES SYMPOSIUM OPENS IN TORONTO

A host of leading experts in urban planning are in Toronto for the Electric Cities Symposium which begins today.  One of the outcomes may be the path to creating a massive rail deck park over the train tracks between Blue Jays Way and Bathurst Street.

The project currently has a price tag of $1 billion.

Experts from New York, Chicago and Amsterdam are also attending the conference.  Toronto Mayor John Tory is scheduled to address the symposium today.
