BROADWAY STAR TO RECEIVE SPECIAL TONY AWARD

This year’s Tony awards will feature a special honour for the director, actress and choreographer who played Connie Wong in the original 1975 production of “A Chorus Line”

 70 year old Baayork Lee, will receive the “Isabelle Stevenson” Tony at this year’s award’s ceremony June 11th.
Lee is being honoured for her commitment to future generations of artists through her work with the National Asian Artists Project and theatre education programs around the world.

Lee was in the original production of “A Chorus Line”, creating the role of Connie, as well as serving as the assistant to the director-choreographer.
