A crude doodle that John Lennon made as a potential cover for the Beatles’ “Sergeant Pepper” album is going to auction next month in New York.
And the doodle could be worth as much as $60-thousand.
It was found at Lennon’s former house in Weybridge, England where he lived between 1964 and 1968, but it’s not known when it was drawn.
Paul McCartney has said he came up with the cover idea and gave drawings of his concept to two artist who produced the final product.
Lennon’s doodle goes to auction May 20th.
