After becoming London’s theatre event of the year, “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” will likely put Broadway under its spell when it opens at The Lyric Theatre in the spring of 2018.
“The Cursed Child” picks up 19 years after the end of the final Potter novel. It’s presented in two parts and both are intended to be seen on the same day. It was written by Jack Thorne from a story by Thorne, Rowling and John Tiffany.
The play recently won nine Olivier Awards in London, including best new play.
