The Wynne Government is preparing to overhaul Ontario’s Labour Laws for the first time in decades.  Reports indicate the province will increase the minimum wage to $15.00 per hour, bring in more paid vacation days and paid sick days.
Those items are said to be under consideration by the governing Liberals at Queens Park in an attempt to help the lowest paid workers in the most insecure jobs in the province.
Also apparently under consideration; boosting the annual paid vacation to three weeks a year, making it easier for workers in insecure jobs to unionize and banning employers from paying part time workers lower wages than full-time employees who do the same job.
