A Libyan security spokesperson says one of the brothers and the father were arrested in Tripoli.
Libyan anti-terror officials say in a statement that the brother Hashim Abedi was receiving money transferred from his late brother, Salman.
”The brother was aware of all the details of the terrorist attack,” the statement says, adding that he had claimed both he and Salman belonged to the Islamic State group.
The other brother was arrested in England Tuesday.
Investigators are also looking into if Abedi was connected to terror cells across Europe and North America, and whether the cell linked to the Paris and Brussels terror attacks are also to blame for the one in Manchester.
Meanwhile, pop star Ariana Grande’s suspended her tour through June 4 in order to further assess the situation and pay the proper respect to those killed Monday night.
