Today’s British election is shaping up to be a serious disappointment for Prime Minister Theresa May.
An exit poll has projected that her Conservative Party will win the biggest share of seats – but not enough to command a majority in Parliament.
The survey predicts the Conservatives will get 314 seats – with Labour grabbing 266.
It also projected 34 for the Scottish National Party and 14 for the Liberal Democrats.
The predicted result – if confirmed – would be a disaster for May, who called a snap election in the hope of increasing her majority.
