BC POET WINS THE GRIFFIN PRIZE

B-C writer Jordan Abel has won the $65,000 Griffin Poetry Prize.
Abel was named the Canadian winner at a Gala last night in Toronto for “Injun” a long poem on racism and the representation of Indigenous peoples.
The International Griffin Prize, which also comes with a cheque for $65,000 was awarded to British poet Alice Oswald.
