Toronto begins another round of public consultations to ensure its regulations are in line with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act.

The legislation was passed in 2005. It aims to have all government, non-profit and private businesses accessible and fully barrier free by 2025.

It hasn’t always gone well.

A restaurant in Toronto was recently ordered to tear down a wheel chair ramp because it encroached on public space and violated a city by-law.
