Nearly nine months after tossing a beer can onto the outfield during last year’s Jays-Orioles wild card playoff game, Ken Pagan has been sentenced.
(CBC News)
Pagan, who pleaded guilty to mischief under $5,000 May 30, will not have a criminal conviction, but a Toronto judge has ruled he must perform 100 hours community service and has been banned from all Major League Baseball games for 12 months and must stay 500 metres away from the Rogers Centre.
Before he was sentenced, Pagan offered an apology to the Blue Jays, Baltimore Orioles and especially the outfielder, who was nearly hit by the beer can during the game last October 4, Hyun Soo Kim.
