It’s just one of those moments when you remember exactly where you were and what you were doing when you first heard that Elvis Presley died.
He was just 42-years-old when he passed away from a heart attack at his Graceland mansion in Memphis.

Stores all over the U.S. were reportedly sold out of his records.
After Presley’s death, tourists flocked to Graceland.
It was expanded recently to include an entertainment complex with museums, eateries and a hotel.
In observance of the 40th anniversary of his death, Graceland’s hosting an expanded, nine-day edition of its Elvis Week celebration which began August 11 and runs through Saturday.
Today’s there’s ”ELVIS:  Live in Concert 40th Anniversary Celebration” taking place in Memphis.
It’ll feature film footage of the King performing his classics with live accompaniment from a symphony orchestra and guest appearance by ex-wife Priscilla Presley.
