MULTI-AWARD-WINNING PHOTOJOURNALIST BORIS SPREMO DEAD AT 81

Retired Canadian photojournalist Boris Spremo has died at 81.
The celebrated photographer won 285 national and international awards – and was named a member of the Order of Canada.
Spremo was with both the Toronto Star and the Globe and Mail – and his  work took him to war zones in Israel, Vietnam, Iraq and Northern Ireland.
He was born in Yugoslavia and came to Canada in 1957. He retired in 2000.
Spremo’s family says he was light hearted, was constantly cracking jokes and never took anything too seriously.
Spremo was diagnosed with cancer in February.
