Emily Carr University of Art and Design has officially opened its new campus in Vancouver.
Construction began two years ago – after the land was donated for the university as well as three other post-secondary institutions.
Almost two-thousand full time and three-thousand continuing education students enrolled this year will be enjoying a state-of-the-art facility – which would’ve astounded Carr – a west coast artist who laboured in obscurity – and was one of the first painters in Canada to adopt a Modernist and Post-Impressionist painting style.
