Canada’s Donald Sutherland is getting an honorary Oscar.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences says the actor will be among four people who’ll receive the honour at the Governors Awards on November 11th.
The award honours “Extraordinary distinction in lifetime achievement, and exceptional contributions to the state of motion picture arts and sciences.”
Sutherland was born in New Brunswick and has more than 140 film credits spanning six decades – including The Dirty Dozen, MASH, Cold Mountain and The Hunger Games series.
