It’s described as the “second fastest” marathon in North America. The Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon takes place on Sunday, as 25-thousand participants take part in a variety of races including the 42-kilometre event.

Road closures are required to accommodate this internationally renowned marathon. Bay Street closes between Queen Street West and Dundas Street West from 11am Saturday until 8pm on Sunday.

And a series of full road closures take place on Sunday from 4am to 4pm for the race. These will be periodic and in the area bounded by Bloor Street to the north, Victoria Park Avenue in the east, Lake Ontario to the south and Windermere Avenue in the west.
