Premier Kathleen Wynne’s moved closer to taking legal action against the Opposition leader for recent remarks about her in connection with the Sudbury byelection bribery trial.
Her lawyers have nnow served Conservative Leader Patrick Brown with a ‘notice of libel’ in a letter.

In a letter last month, her lawyers demanded he withdraw remarks made the day before her testimony at the trial, involving two provincial Liberals facing Election Act charges.
Brown had said he hoped she would give answers about the scandal ”maybe when she stands trial,” and went on to describe here as a ”siting premier, sitting in trial.”
When he received that letter he said he’d ignore what he considered her ”baseless” legal threat.
No word from Brown nor his office as to how he plans to respond to the latest letter.
