Winter doesn’t official arrive for a month and a half, but we’ll get an early taste of it tonight. Environment Canada has issued a Winter Weather Travel Advisory, calling for snowfall and rapidly falling temperatures that could affect road conditions late this afternoon or during the evening.
A cold front will track over Southern Ontario through the day. As this front passes, temperatures will drop below the freezing mark and scattered rain showers will change to flurries. Toronto could see 2 centimetres of snowfall. As a result, untreated surfaces could become icy and slippery.
You’re advised to top up your windshield washer fluid, check your emergency kit and most importantly slow down in uncertain conditions.
