Two former senior provincial political aides will not call evidence after the judge recently rejected their request for a directed acquittal in the gas plants trial.
Instead, lawyers for David Livingston and Laura Miller will make final submissions on November 22.
Livingston, chief of staff to former premier Dalton McGuinty and Miller, his deputy, have pleaded not guilty to illegal use of a computer and attempted mischief to data.
The charges are in connection with the alleged deletion of emails concerning the government’s decision to cancel gas plants in Oakville and Mississauga prior to the 2011 election.
