DONNELLY RHODES DIES OF CANCER

Canadian actor Donnelly Rhodes has died after a steller 50-year career that included rose on “Sidestreet,” “Da Vinci’s Inquest,” and American TV programs like “Bonanza,” “Cheers,” “Golden Girls” and “The Young and the Restless.”

Over the course of his career, the Winnipeg native received numerous accolades, including a Gemini award for his leading role in “Da Vinci’s Inquest” in 2002 and a Gemini Lifetime Achievement award in 2006.

Rhodes died of cancer yesterday at a hospice in Maple Ridge B.C.  He was 80.
