More international honours for a movie that was filmed in Toronto and Hamilton.
Fresh off it’s wins for best director and best original score at the Golden Globes in Hollywood on the weekend – The Shape of Water – leads the race for The British Academy Film Awards.
Guillermo del Toro’s fantastical Cold War monster thriller scored nominations in 12 categories – including best picture and best director – for the U.K equivalent of the Oscars.
Also at the BAFTA’s – Christopher Plummer is up for best-supporting actor for All The Money In The World – and among the other nominees is Quebec director Denis Villeneuve for Blade Runner 2049.
