For the first time in more than a decade the “Sam the Recordman” sign is shining once again in the Yonge and Dundas area of Toronto.
The enormous sign was re-lit atop 277 Victoria Street last night, just steps from its former location on Yonge Street.

Sam The Recordman’s record store closed in 2007.  The building was bought a year later by Ryerson University for future expansion of its downtown campus.  Ryerson decided to restore the iconic sign.  Restoration began last June.  The sign was installed last month.
