Dolores O’Riordan, lead singer of the Irish ban The Cranberries, has died in London, England where she was recording.

Cause of the death was not immediately known.

The quartet became international stars in the 1990s, staring with ”Linger” off their debut album ”Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can’t We?” and ”Zombie” from their second released.

O’Riordan, former husband Don Burton, their two children and a third from Burton’s previous relationship, spent years splitting their time between Ireland and a cottage north of Peterborough.

The group went on hiatus after the release of 2001’s ”Wake Up and Smell the Roses”.

The Cranberries reunited in 2009 and there were plans to tour in support of their latest album 2017s ”Something Else”.

The tour was cancelled following what were described as medical issues.
