BLANCHETTE AND JOHN HONOURED IN DAVOS

Film star Cate Blanchett and Zoomer legend Elton John are among those honoured by the World Economic Forum in Davos for their work raising awareness about human rights issues.
Blanchett, who is 48, received a Crystal Award for her work as an ambassador for the UN refugee agency.
Elton John, who is 70 was honoured for his charitable work with his AIDS foundation.
The awards were presented at a ceremony in Davos, in the Swiss Alps, where some of the world’s top executive and policy makers, including Prime Minister Justin Trudeau,  have gathered for their annual meeting
