As MPPs returned to Queen’s Park for the last session of the legislature before the election campaign, Patrick Brown was not present.
The former PC leader was busy campaigning to win his old job back.
While Brown registered to run in the leadership race, his candidacy could still be rejected by the party’s nomination committee.

Interim party leader Vic Fedeli refused to comment on all controversies swirling around Brown, saying he ”must remain neutral” in the leadership race.
Fedeli did not get into reasons for his decision to remove Brown from caucus last Friday, only hours before he announced he was in the race.
”I am going to respect the process and let the leadership races play out,” said Fedeli.
In addition to Brown, the other candidates are Doug Ford, Christine Elliott, Caroline Mulroney and Tanya Granic Allen.
Online voting takes place early next month with the winner announced March 10.
Patrick Brown will be a guest on Zoomer Radio’s ”Fight Back” with Libby Znaimer Wednesday.
