QUARTETTO GELATO'S SEVASTIAN DIES AT 41

A member of Canada’s classical crossover quartet, Toronto based Quartetto Gelato, died suddenly over the weekend after a performance in Mexico.
Alexander Sevastian was the group’s accordionist.

Sevastian began his career in Moscow in 1996, performing with the Russian Radio Orchestra.

He moved to Canada in 2001, joined Quartetto Gelato in 2002 and performed with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra in 2008 and 2009.

Alexander Sevastian was 41.
