After all the chaos created within the party by the Patrick Brown accusations, Ontario PCs are dropping a lawsuit against a former party member, who opposed a carbon tax.

Interim Leader Vic Fedeli says the party should not have sued Jim Karahalios and has decided to abandon its appeal of a court’s decision to dismiss the legal action, launched under former leader Brown.
In a statement explaining the move, Fedeli says an appeal would have been costly and unsuccessful and that donations made to the party should not be spent on ”hopeless lawsuits against loyal conservatives”.
Karahalios was sued for allegedly misusing the party’s membership list to advocate against Brown’s decisions and the carbon tax which formed the party platform.
