AUSTRALIAN ZOOMER SETS NEW SWIMMING MARK FOR 100+

An Australian swimmer, who turns 100 next month appears to have smashed a world record for his age group in the 50 metre freestyle.
George Corones clocked in 56.12 seconds at an official event in Queensland; a new benchmark for the 100-104 age category and he shaved 35 seconds off the old record in the process.
George’s record will now be verified by the sport’s governing body.
