For Zoomers of a certain age, this will bring back some memories…
It was 50 years ago today that the Otis Redding classic hit number one on the Billboard and R & B charts.

Redding finished recording “Dock of the Bay” in December of 1967 just days before dying in a plane crash at the age of 26.

The song is featured on a new archival album titled “Dock of the Bay Sessions” being released on May 18th.
