A Canadian documentary, that examines the damaging impact of the fashion industry on waterways around the world, is being honoured in Brazil this week.
River Blue is the story of Canadian river conservationist and paddler Mark Angelo and his 3 year, around-the-world journey to uncover the extent of damage and pollution caused by the international fashion industry.
River Blue, which is narrated by Canadian actor Jason Priestley, premiered at the Vancouver International Film Festival in 2016.  Since then, it’s screened at more than 50 festivals and has won several international awards.
This week the film will be awarded the Best Film and Green Drop Award as part of World Water Forum celebrations in Brasilia, Brazil.
Angelo, who is 66, says its an honour to have the film recognized for its message; we need to better care for waterways around the world
