An executive with Facebook has told the company’s Canadian Summit in Toronto that the social media and networking giant has a lot to answer for in the wake of allegations it misused the data of of up 50-million users.
Nada Stirratt, vice-president of global markets solutions for North America, says the accusations are concerning and raise serious questions.
Facebook announced this morning it’s condensing its privacy user settings from the current 20 screens onto a single page.
Meanwhile, aware of the intense pressure, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg reportedly plans to testify in the coming weeks before the U.S. Congress about the company’s privacy practices.
He said last week he’d be happy to testify but did not commit to appear.
