Aeroplan’s parent company Aimia – is apologizing for a shocker.

It’s a survey which was circulated to a small group of loyalty plan members in mid-March

A report says some customers complained because the survey included questions asking if too much immigration “threatens the purity of the country.”

Another question asks whether getting married and having children is “the only real way of having a family” and whether “men have a certain natural superiority over women.”

An Aimia spokeswoman says the questions had not been properly reviewed – and didn’t meet the company’s data-gathering standards – although she says the company’s  research partner CROP – has been using them in Canada for 30 years to determine social attitudes.

Aimia is vowing to delete any information it collected from the survey – and is asking CROP to do the same.
