Former Governor General Adrienne Clarkson is to deliver a poetic end to the Leonard Cohen exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Montreal.   “Leonard Cohen, A Crack in Everything” opened in November of last year and closes next Thursday.
Clarkson first got to know Cohen when she interviewed him after the publication of his second novel, Beautiful Losers, on CBC TV back in the 60’s.  Her friendship with Cohen spanned half a century and included a 1989 documentary she produced called simply “Leonard.”
So far more than 260-thousand visitors have taken in the Cohen exhibition.
Cohen died in November of 2016 at the age of 82.
