The governing Liberals are unveiling a new campaign ad aimed to show Ontario voters the ”real Doug Ford”.

You’ll hear and see it more starting Monday.

Liberal campaign co-chair Deb Matthews says they want to show how a Tory government would affect residents rather than simply focusing on Ford’s personality.

She stresses it’s not an act of desperation on the Liberals part.

”We think it’s really important that when people make the choice, and it’s going to be the starkest choice they’ve had to make provincially for a long time, that they have the full facts of who Doug Ford really is and that’s what this campaign is all about.”

Matthews adds party research has shown many voters don’t know much about Ford, a newcomer on the provincial political scene.
