Agnetha, Benny, Bjorn, Anni-Frida are about to release new music for the first time since 1983, when the chart topping Swedish group split.
A statement on the official ABA Instagram account, says the foursome felt it could be fun to return to the recording studio after all this time.
”So we did. And it was like time had stood still and that we had only been away on a short holiday. An extremely joyful experience! It resulted in two new songs and one of them ‘I Still Have Faith In You’ will be performed by our digital selves in a TV special … aimed for broadcasting in December. We may have come of age, but the song is new. And it feels good.”
In that special you’ll see ABBA in a new form, as computer generated ”Abbatars” that’ll look like the group did in 1979.
Then next year, the digital ABBA will go on a tour.
