TTC commuters are being warning about potential impacts on service after an overtime agreement recently expired, not long after negotiations on a new contract broke down.
The transit commission and union previously had an agreement that allowed employees to work up to 64-hours-a-week, but the union decided not to extend the agreement after it expired April 30th.
As a result, the nearly 11-thousand TTC workers can now only be required to work up to 48-hours-per-week by law.
The union blames the TTC for neglecting to hire enough workers.
Declared an essential service in 2011, TTC employees cannot legally strike.
