He dropped former leadership rival Tanya Granic Allen from the PC campaign roster for past homophobic remarks Doug Ford called ”irresponsible,” now the Liberals are calling on the Tory leader to do the same with another candidate for comments Andrew Lawton made in the past.

The London West candidate has blamed his remarks about women, Islam and the LGBTQ community on his struggle with mental illness.
But Liberal campaign co-chair Deb Matthews feels the PCs should drop Lawton just as they did Granic Allen.
A news release from the Liberals says the Tories don’t have much time to decide.
”May 17th is the deadline to nominate candidates with Elections Ontario, meaning that Doug Ford has until tomorrow to replace Andrew Lawton on the Conservative ballot.  Refusal to do so can only mean that Doug Ford is comfortable with the views expressed by Mr. Lawton.”
