Almost half a million voter cards are still to be delivered to Ontario voters – just one week before the provincial election.
Canada Post is blaming a “mechanized process failure” for the cards being late – but says they should all be out for delivery by the end of today.
The Crown corporation says additional resources have been brought in to sort the last batch of voter cards manually.
It says about 8.5 million of the cards – telling voters where, when and how to vote – have already been delivered.
