FEDS OK SOME SENATE POT CHANGES BUT REJECT OTHERS

The Trudeau Liberals are giving the thumbs-up to 27 changes the Senate has made to the bill to legalize cannabis – but the government is rejecting 13 others.

Health Minister Ginette Petitpas Taylor says one amendment in particular – which would allow the provinces and territories to ban home cultivation of marijuana – is simply not going to happen.

The federal government argues that permitting Canadians to grow weed at home –  helps to curb the illegal cannabis market.
