An important milestone for the Toronto Public Liibrary.

It’s become the first library in the world to lend more than 20 million e-books.

The library started it’s first digital collection back in 2007 – and by 2017 the collection included more than 170,000 titles.

A list of the 20 most popular e-books borrowed includes The Girl On The Train at number one – and The Goldfinch – which has been borrowed almost 14,000 times.

E-books make up about 18 per cent of the Toronto Public Library’s total circulation – along with audiobooks and other digital sources.
