If you’re headed to Egypt – it’s going to cost you more to see the mummies.

Egypt has raised the price of passes – allowing foreign tourists entry into archaeological sites and museums in Cairo and Luxor.

The price hikes take effect November 1st and affect the Cairo Pass and the standard Luxor Pass – which will each cost $100, up from $80, for regular visitors.

But the premium Luxor Pass – which includes access to the tombs of a pharaoh and queen Nefertari – will cost $200, up from $160.

Egypt has been struggling to boost its tourism industry – which has been affected by political turmoil following a 2011 uprising. It’s trying entice tourists with multi-million dollar campaigns – and touting new archaeological discoveries – as well as boosting security around historical sites.
