Once again, Zoomer Radio listeners have come through in the fight against bladder cancer!
For the fourth year in a row, Team Jane Brown, walked in memory of Jane’s Mom Sandy who died of bladder cancer in 2012. And for the fourth year in a row, generous Zoomer Radio listeners have helped crush the fundraising goal. Jane would also like to thank ZoomerMedia, the Hill Street Beverage Company, and Tom’s Place for their corporate sponsorship of her team.
This year’s goal for Team Jane Brown was $9000, and as of Sunday’s walk at Toronto’s Sunnybrook Park, nearly $9500 was donated for a four-year total of almost $30,000!
“Bladder cancer research remains underfunded, but with every year, fundraising dollars are making a positive difference toward treatments and patient support,” Jane explains, “And what’s special about Bladder Cancer Canada, every dollar donated goes to fighting the disease.”
It’s not too late to donate! You can offer your support to Jane’s team and the fight against bladder cancer by clicking here.
And remember, if you “see red, see your doctor!” Blood in the urine is the main symptom of bladder cancer and smoking is the main cause.
