Following a meeting with the premier at Queen’s Park this afternoon during they discussed a number of issues including the federal carbon pricing plan, the federal Tory leader brushed off a reporter’s question if he feels Ford’s a bigger threat to the prime minister than the federal Opposition leader, and that Justin Trudeau considers the premier a bigger threat than Scheer.
”I think the prime minister’s own policies are the biggest threat to Justin Trudeau.  The fact that he is ramming through this carbon tax that Canadians don’t want.  Nobody’s buying his math.  Nobody believes that taking with one hand, mixing it around in Ottawa and then sending it back in any way will cover the true cost,” replied Scheer, who has called the tax an election gimmick.
Before heading into the meeting, Doug Ford said ”there’s only one way to get rid of the carbon tax … is by getting rid of Justin Trudeau” in next year’s federal election.
