St. Michael’s College School met with parents of students at the all-boys school concerning an alleged sexual assault and an alleged assault involving students.
According to a statement and timeline released today by St. Mike’s, school officials notified police Monday about an alleged assault captured on video, and then received another video Monday evening showing an alleged sexual assault, started their own investigation but did not notify police, nor hand over that video, until Wednesday.
That’s when police say they learned about the video from the media.
Eight students have been expelled and one’s been suspended.
Meanwhile, St. Mike’s has also revealed it was made aware of a third incident yesterday, which is when the school and football coaches met with members of the junior team and their parents.
Police now say they’ve launched multiple investigations into a number of incidents, and believe there may be more victims and are encouraging anyone with information to come forward.
