Doug Ford’s office says the Ontario premier is prepared to walk away from a meeting of First Ministers’ tomorrow in Montreal, if the gathering does not include specific discussions on the carbon tax.

Ford met with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in Montreal this afternoon ahead of the gathering of federal, provincial and territorial leaders.
The premier’s office says discussions are underway with federal officials over the meeting’s agenda.
Ontario Government House Leader Todd Smith says the agenda for the meeting does not deal with the concerns of the provinces, which include the carbon tax, the planned closure of the GM plant in Oshawa and the Alberta oil price crisis.
Meanwhile, Alberta’s Rachel Notley says she’ll have allies in the room to help put the focus on the oil-price crisis.
She adds she expects there’ll be support for her concerns because all provinces depend on a healthy Alberta economy to some extent for their schools, hospitals and roads.
