More than $4-million donated to the #TorontoStrong Fund has been distributed to the 41 victims and families of the van attack on Yonge Street last April and the shooting in Greektown three months later.

The funds were dispersed by former Toronto mayor Barbara Hall after consultations with victims, families, medical practitioners and social service providers.

The city will begin holding consultations early next year on permanent memorials for both tragedies.

Ten were killed, 16 injured in the van attack along a stretch of sidewalk in North York while an 18-year-old woman and 10-year-old girl were killed and 13 wounded in the shooting along the Danforth in July.
