The English National Opera has developed an innovative program to engage young people in the art.
Beginning next spring, the company plans to give free balcony tickets to people under 18 years of age for Saturday performances.
Adults who pay full price for balcony tickets will be able to bring up to four under 16s free to the London Coliseum. The scheme will also be open to school groups and covers discounts for anyone between 16 and 29 years old.
On the list of performances, “La Boheme,” “The Merry Widow,” “The Magic Flute” and “Jack the Ripper: The Women of Whitechapel.”
